HAPPY 50th TO THE SKODA 1000 MBX

The classic Skoda 1000 MBX made its world debut at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show and has developed into an iconic classic over the past five decades. With five seats, rear engine and rear-wheel drive, the Skoda was launched as an elegant alternative to the popular four-door Skoda 1000 MB. In addition, its production played a key role in advancing the motor industry.

“The legendary two-door Skoda 1000 MBX with its liberally glazed body crowned the success of the first Czech large production car,” explained Andrea Frydlova, head of the Skoda Museum.
