Witnesses sought for Daytona crash

Brisbane Forensic Crash Unit is appealing for anyone who may have seen a yellow Triumph Daytona motorcycle or a white Hyundai Getz hatchback prior to a crash on Tuesday, October 23.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Youngs Road and Kianawah Road, Wynnum West at approximately 6.20pm and resulted in both vehicles catching fire.

Prior to the collision, the Hyundai was travelling east on Youngs Road and the motorcycle was travelling north on Kianawah Road.

The rider of the Daytona, a 32-year-old man from Wynnum West, was seriously injured in the crash.

The Hyundai driver, an 18-year-old woman, was injured, her 18-year-old male passenger was not injured.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who saw the yellow Daytona or car prior to the crash to contact them (details below).
